I don't know if many of you know that Mark and I are huge Yankees fans! So this year was a awesome year for them! I enjoyed watching every game, every inning! I am a baseball fan anyway in general so it makes it more fun to watch cute and awesomely talented guys work their magic! Many people sit and complain on how they are overpaid and don't really know what baseball is, but I truely agree if you are that talented you should get paid no matter what the cost is! Plus they also get the bragging rights to hold it! SO my hat goes out to the Yankees they made us proud! The funnest thing was that we got our family pics done in Oct. all in our Yankees shirts and Christmas cards in Yankees so it will make it for a good New York Yankee Year!

Sept. & Oct. 2009

So I pretty much think I am the worst Blogger in History! So to start Sept. off we had our annual Girls getaway to Swiss Days! We had 10 of us go and we stayed up late, went hot tubing and we went to the Olympic Park and did the zip line, slide and watched the skiers. Thanks to Ed!In Sept. Zayd started up Dancing, Tumbling, Swim lessons and Preschool. Austin-stared Flag football, Swim lessons, and Piano lessons. Dj-Started up Tumbling, and Swim lessons. All these activities have sure kept us busy around here. Then also in Sept. I turned the big 31! We just had a family dinner and at my favorite meal with cupcake cones. I think after you turn 18 birthdays are just there, and it nearly wasn't as bad as 30. So all in all it was another day!
In October us and Leonard's went to the Creed and Stained Concert at the E Center. Not as good as Nickleback, but it was clean fun and I actually remembered some of the songs. But again mainly I went for Mark. It is always fun to get away. On the 12th of Oct. Mark turned 33. We had dinner for him here and celebrated with a ice cream cake from cold stone. Then for Halloween we all dressed up as JIll & Mark-Sandy and Danny off Grease, Austin-Capt.Rex a storm trooper off Star wars, DJ-a Dragon, Zayd-Minnie Mouse. We put together a friends Halloween party with Pot luck, games like: What if..., Fear Factor Trivia, and Stretch your spouse. It always is so fun to get together with such great friends and have a great time!
And also of course I am staying busy with the Daycare and such, we now have 10 of us that work out there with trying to expand again. Great Job security is all I can say!

Zaydree's big day!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SqcgdPLS3_I/AAAAAAAAALs/jeHbWrNNoZg/s200/DSC02334.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379303966579548146" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SqcgcgSS2nI/AAAAAAAAALk/FoN5jodqJH0/s200/DSC02336.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379303953992440434" />
Zaydree started her first day of Preschool today! I didn't know exactly what to think, but with her being in the daycare she has been ready for quite some time. Her teacher is amazing and she calls her Miss Racquel. Zayd goes to Preschool at Creekview on Tues. and Thurs. and is already asking to go tomorrow. Today she painted a big picture she said, had strawberry snack sang some songs and went out for recess to play on the big play ground. She especially loves to sing songs and catches on quite quickly. But going to school she wanted to be big like her brothers and ride the bus and I told her she had to wait for 2 more years.
On top of school Zayd is finally potty trained!!!! Woo Hoo! I never thought I would see the day. It took 3 days of HELL, but she finally has came to the understanding of her pee has to go in the potty and not her diaper or panties. Now she know when she has to go and goes by herself. The main thing she love is for us to sing the pee pee dance song, and doesn't like to make mom or dad sad so she does it for those reasons. Plus she has started Dance and Tumbling and I didn't want them to have to change any poop diapers or any wet spills anywhere. So I am quite proud of her!

Kids' first day of school!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/Spycx2OeVBI/AAAAAAAAALc/jWlYN1G-xb0/s200/DSC02222.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376344435357275154" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpycxeGjhtI/AAAAAAAAALU/Bh3UkOo8YuQ/s200/DSC02221.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376344428881610450" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpycwwdgQ1I/AAAAAAAAALM/nSQSG9fzlcU/s200/DSC02185.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376344416629834578" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpycwmMXD9I/AAAAAAAAALE/zmfiSsSuClg/s200/DSC02182.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376344413873573842" />
I know so I am a little late at blogging, but I need to do this for journal purposes!
This year is DJ's first year of Kindergarten. His teacher is Miss Tawna, which is who Austin had. He is so excited he gets to go to Austin's school and ride the big bus like all the other kids. He goes all day and he is already catching on. He is such a good little boy and a good listener. I usually only have to repeat things to him 1 time and he gets it. He brought home something the other day that he had colored and I told him he was in kindergarten now that he couldn't scribble he had to stay in the lines, so the next day he came back with a pic that was so good and he got 2 stickers on his paper. He has been catching on to the songs that they have been learning so I think he is loving every minute of it. The only thing is that he is not a morning person like me, but faithfully getting up when their alarm goes off.
Austin is in 2nd grade this year, and what a difference it totally makes. His handwriting is getting better, they read alot more and their attitudes seem to be getting better!(Especially for me since many of you may know Austin) His teacher is Mrs. Torrez and she seems to be doing a good job by keeping him in line. He is enjoying recess, running and math. That is what he tells me anyway. He is into eating healthy which kills me since he is only 7 and into exercising, so who knows what is in store for him. I am so proud of my kids and how far they have came and everything they have accomplished so far.

What not to wear to a concert!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdT3PAjT4I/AAAAAAAAAK8/mHnmKsVrb9Q/s200/DSC02258.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374856888676732802" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdT2UFrUGI/AAAAAAAAAK0/yzWeYoeziM0/s200/DSC02278.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374856872860536930" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdT15oWlDI/AAAAAAAAAKs/F3fnYo0Ncn8/s200/DSC02230.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374856865758221362" />

Karra, Brandi, Mer, Shawn, Mark and Me all headed for a fun filled night of some of our favorite bands like: Saving Abel, Papa Roach, Hinder and Nickelback. What I enjoyed the most was....
#1 Hottie Ryan from Nickelback He is fine and can sing and play guitar even though he is only #2 guy with Nickelback.
#2-Being close to the front row to see the singers up close.
#3-Knowing all the Nickelback songs and singing loudly to all of them.
#4-being with my husband because it was a concert he enjoyed instead of a country
one.
#5-Hanging out with girls and our cool colored hair!
#6-Checking out and making fun of people at the concert!
#7-Great food at Famous Dave's before the concert.

My least favorite things of the night were....
#1-Standing on my feet for 7 hours straight in boots.
#2-Waiting almost 2 hours to get our tickets in the heat.
#3-The language that the bands use! They have awful potty mouths!
#4-chicks making out next to us, but later got in trouble and almost kicked out.
#5-The drunk losers all around us getting in fights or doing things they shouldn't be doing.
#6-Getting Beer thrown on us during the concert.
#7-Waiting 1 hour to just get out of the USANA parking lot.

But other than that we had a good time. I may stick to just country concerts! But Nickelback is still one of my favorite all time bands if they would just stay to singing and not talking! Plus now I really know who Ryan is!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdSDXewP5I/AAAAAAAAAKk/l8ok8cgl9gQ/s200/DSC02245.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374854898086068114" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdSCzelHMI/AAAAAAAAAKc/kUcPKaXdQx4/s200/DSC02253.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374854888421661890" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdSCDmuPqI/AAAAAAAAAKU/FXIEsO3r8hI/s200/DSC02235.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374854875570912930" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdSBqdbTEI/AAAAAAAAAKM/K8XM8jADyyU/s200/DSC02231.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374854868821036098" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SpdSA-nysmI/AAAAAAAAAKE/s-zWdG-c1t4/s200/DSC02226.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374854857053352546" />

Summer fun!!

So I know I have been a slacker on here but, we have been playing and having way to much fun this summer like always!
To start the summer off we took our annual trip to Lake Powell with our friends, The Leonards, Hillams, Nelsons, Joy, Petersons, and Latimers. Most of us stay in a single wide trailor and all have our own rooms. We play in the water most of the day so it is mainly to eat and sleep. But we are comfortable with it, we just call it LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR! We drove to Rainbow Bridge and and viewed the bridge and where the pioneers came over with their handcarts. We hiked up Mokey Canyon and found frogs and rolled down the big hill. It is always a GREAT time.
Next I had Youth Conference with the Youth in the Ward. Since my calling in Young Womens we have a great time. We started off with a service Project, ate pizza and got rained on. Then we headed to the Bishops cabin for a fireside and some hiking and fun. We then headed to Heber canyon at the churches cabins where we played volleyball, canoeing (watching the bishop and randy fall in), had a youth dance and ropes course followed by a spiritual testimony mtg. It was a great time.
Then in July we took off and did our annual Bear Lake trip again with our friends. It was Us, Leonards, Hillams, Nelsons, Petersons and Liz & Connor. We had a fun time letting the kids play in the water, riding the wienie, Visiting the Heaps at their cabin, Eating good Raspberries shakes and fighting the crowds at the beach for our beach spots.
I Love playing softball like I do every year this year I broke my thumb pitching, and let me tell you it is so hard to do anything without a thumb. Hard to do my hair fix anything, play anything. Just hard, so I had to leave a stick with a bandage over it for 5-6 weeks. Just barely getting to use it now.
Over the 24th me and my parents and Jacqie and Elam went camping over to Willow Lake up Ferron mountain. Where I skunked my dad in catching fish like I always do. My mom took us on a fun 4-wheeler trip to visit a bunch of ponds and see some beautiful scenary. We fished at Willow, Ferron, blue lake and 2 other ones.
On Aug. 7-9 We took off and headed to Bozeman Montana for the Bridgewater family Reunion. It is Mark's grandma Jeans side. It was a quick trip but they only have it every 3 years and we didn't want to miss it. Plus grandma Jean had been sick so we wanted to make sure everything was ok with her. It was good to see some family we haven't seen in awhile. Plus it was good to see Marks parents. We stayed at the motel with the 90 ft. slide and of course that is all the kids wanted to do is swim. We shopped and went out to eat at some good restaurants.
Every year we go up hunting over Boulder Mountain for the archery hunt. We left on wed. the 12th hoping for a fun time, but on our way I stopped to pick up Jacqie and her trailor with her Durango. We were leaving Huntington and just by Lawarence turn off the trailor started bouncing so I slowed down, then it started swaying so I tried to speed up then it was doing it worse so I hit my brakes and the trailor was swaying harder and took us into the guard rail so I over corrected and went into the other lane, Luckily there was no other traffic, I over corrected again and the trailor wrapped around the durango so I over corrected it again and the tire popped on the trailor and I thought we were going to roll. I could see a diesel coming so I was praying not to let us roll and him to stop so he didn't run into us. But I put the front end of the durango into the guard rail and we just came to a complete stop. I was the scarriest thing I have ever went through and thorough all that my family was behind me in our truck and camper watching all of it. So I am thankful for Prayer, The guard rail (We would've been in a 30 ft. ravine), and no oncoming traffic, or else it would've been uglier than it was. But Jacqies traior was totalled and damage of course was done to her durango.
On a good note though, we had a fun and relaxing day up in Boulder, My dad got a 2 point opening day. Me and my grandpa Potts hiked up Green lake and Deer lake to enjoy some good fishing, where I caught a good 2 pounder and another fish, but skunked out my grandpa. We used our float tube for the first time up Lower bounds and I didn't catch anything there but had a good time. We left our trailor up there since Mark didn't get anything and he went back up a couple days later. Where he supposedly missed the big 4 point, but ended up settling with a 2 point. We just use the meat for jerky anyway. But it is something Mark looks forward to every year, and so do we!
So I hope all of you had a great summer with your friends and family, Because I know we sure did!

June & July 09

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzeUapJouI/AAAAAAAAAJw/KOqHRGPnWXY/s200/DSC02010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358402098994717410" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzeTwoK2EI/AAAAAAAAAJo/OcbC5yMTBss/s200/DSC02009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358402087716313154" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzeTcW_bCI/AAAAAAAAAJg/s_428HA1Szg/s200/DSC02012.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358402082275552290" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzeTKNeOlI/AAAAAAAAAJY/DZ-bL0c0QL8/s200/DSC02008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358402077403789906" />
Every year over the 4th of July we try and go to Lagoon and the Bees game. This year the Hurdsman's met us up there and we had a blast riding Wicked, going to the waterpark, Spending the day together, watching the game go 11 innings, spotting out the drunken idiots, seeing a coach and a player on the other team get thrown out of the game and seeing some awesome fireworks!
Our summer has been a blast so far this year! We have done alot with friends and family. We have been fortunate to have Mark's family and our nieces and nephews come to Price and spend some time with us. We kept them entertained by going to our cabin in Scofield, going to Moab to the Arches, going to the good old museum and wave pool and their favorite, riding 4-wheelers. We sure wish they can come down more often and spend time with us every year!
><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzcDBcBz7I/AAAAAAAAAJQ/DweQr4UG4EA/s200/DSC01945.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358399601147760562" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzcCs2fMLI/AAAAAAAAAJI/01JmBo-v7yo/s200/DSC01980.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358399595621593266" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SlzcCNyTXfI/AAAAAAAAAJA/nGGe9UTBqSg/s200/DSC01963.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358399587282542066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/Slzgqr7jlTI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/yh539y7upbo/s200/DSC01954.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358404680615695666" />

Kobe is a stud!

So what can I say! Kobe Bryant is the next Micheal Jordan and the love of my life (thats when it comes to sports). I know many of you out there probably hate him and call him a cheater or whatever, but he is amazing on the court. If I had his skills I probably would be quite cocky, arogant or hot & drop dead sexy also!
So the playoffs games are on their way with Lakers batteling the Nuggets, but I forgot to Blog about this and for Journal purposes, When the Lakers were up againist the Jazz me and Mark went to the playoff 5 game in SLC. It was AWESOME! Mark didn't draw out for a hunt in Montana so I asked him what he wanted to do with that money and I threw that option at him and he was exstatic! We both are huge Laker fans so we went. Mark has taught Z to say "GO Lakers" It is so dang cute. We sat 12 rows up from the court right behind the Laker bench and I could see him perfectly! But mad I forgot my camera so the only pics I could get were on my phone and they weren't that great, but we sat with a ton of Laker fans which made it exciting because Mark was afraid to wear his Laker jersey thinking we would be by tons of Jazz fans but we were surrouded by the Purple and Yellow colors! GO LAKERS!
The Lakers Killed the Jazz that game, which tons of Jazz fans left early so I snuck down to the 4th row to watch the interview with Kobe and ESPN and it was awesome, and I was within 15 ft. from him, so it made it triple worth my while. When all along Mark thought we were really going just for him! Plus a word of advice Playoff games are the only way to go, full of excitement and entertainment. \
So I know many of you out there are wondering what the HELL is wrong with Jill, nothing I just have to admit I am a true Laker and Kobe Bryant

After
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBpcjrf2oI/AAAAAAAAAHk/tVbpJIyE3Y8/s320/DSC01887.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336881497768974978" />
Before
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBoWjX6REI/AAAAAAAAAHc/qM-TnzA1e54/s320/DSC01179.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336880295095977026" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBsVNkprTI/AAAAAAAAAIM/E51Y4XFW2ZQ/s200/DSC01897.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336884670110477618" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBsU4AlFrI/AAAAAAAAAIE/PrP7Ss3osR8/s200/DSC01898.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336884664322037426" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBsUnzMv0I/AAAAAAAAAH8/FkiuzKDmWOo/s200/DSC01900.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336884659970948930" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBsUVpOqZI/AAAAAAAAAH0/QL7DJdSAWnM/s200/DSC01899.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336884655097293202" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBsUHBfgAI/AAAAAAAAAHs/q49nc6uypgw/s200/DSC01888.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336884651172528130" />

We have been remodeling our home and can't wait for it to be done! We enclosed our garage and made a big family room, we added a mud room off that for coats, backpack and junk, we took the siding and brick off the front of the house and put stucco and rock. We also redone the boys' bedroom it had wallpaper (Not the best with little ones) and we just painted with the trimming so hopefully you like what we have done!

Check out my other posts from today!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/ShBbVmI7hxI/AAAAAAAAAHU/0m3L5CqvPX4/s320/DSC01896.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336865985007421202" />

Happy 7th Birthday Austin!
We are so glad to have Austin a part of our family. He is such a good sport, a great big brother and a good helper. He really didn't get a birthday party since we went to Disneyland but him and a couple friends get to go bowling and get ice cream at cold stone. Plus yesterday on his birthday we went to the Sand Dunes in Green River and had cupcakes and sang him happy birthday. We went riding our 4-wheelers and had fun in the HOT sun. We gave him a BB gun and a new bat and bat bag, he got money from grandparents and a helicopter from the Leonard's. So I think in all he was pretty spoiled rotten. He lost his front tooth a couple months ago so check it out in his photo. Plus he just got done with Soccer which he was a pro at. He scored avg. of 4 goals a game. He right now he is in Pee Wee baseball and is doing GREAT. He had a choir concert from his school which he stood up in front of everyone and gave his part, I was so proud of him. He also just got back from Turkey hunting with his dad and grandpa and Shawn. He loved it and said Grandpa shot a bigger turkey than dad. I don't know if he was hoaxed into saying that but he is quite the hunter. He will start kindergarten in Aug. He loved Miss Sandy and all his other techers. If there was a day that he couldn't go to the daycare to school he would be sad. His birthday is in Aug. so I put him in the 2 schools and he has came a long ways! He knows how to write his name, knows his colors, the alphabet and everything else. He is a quite shy boy but his teachers always said he was a great helper. He had his good friend JR in class with him, which he enjoyed playing with along with all the other new friends he made at head start. He loved riding the short yellow bus with Miss Nita. If anyone ever saw it around town they all knew it had to be DJ's bus. So those were some of his fav. memories of school.

California Family Vacation

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/Sg7aUKItiKI/AAAAAAAAAGc/g2Y_dCZvREc/s320/DSC01454.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5336442648333748386" />
So we have been home for 3 weeks and I haven't posted yet. But I wanted to share our pics and details. We rented a condo with our friends Val and Cody in Ramona, cute little town but far away from everything else. We ended up going to Disneyland the first day and had a good time. We got to see Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Buzz, and some other fun characters. WE rode all the rides and even Austin and Dj and Zaydree could ride alot of the rides. Z was excited especially for the Nemo ride, she is a huge fan. Next day, We went Lego land and it was Austins favorite place. We could've spent all week there he said. After that we went to Sea World. It was so hot that day in the 80's we got a tan. This was Zaydree's favorite place because she loves fishes, dolphins and all other water animals. Next we went to Wild Animal Kingdom. It was something new for us. Not our favorite place but the kids had a good time and we went on a little safari to see all the animals. DJ sure liked this place though. Then we went to San Diego to the beach. We let the kids collect sea shells but it was a little too cold to swim much. Plus I think Austin was over stimulated because the both of us exploded at each other. Then the last we went to California Adventure land to ride the fun rides which I loved the roller coaster there. The other rides we enjoyed were Toy Story, Bugs life 4-D, Pirates of the Caribbean, Soar in over California. DJ loved that he got to see Lightning McQueen and Mater there. They all saved their money to buy souvenirs at each place. The ride there and back wasn't bad at all the kids actually did well. I advise if you are going to travel in a big city get a garmin nu vi it was a life saver. I only got us lost once, but it was my fault. So we sure enjoyed our vacation together as a family!

On April 13th which was Zaydree's Birthday we got some very sad news. My cousin Callee and Zac had lost their darling little 6 months baby Kamdyn Lilly to SIDS. It had upset all of our whole family, but most certainly it made us make sure and put our arms around our little ones that day and squeeze them just a little tighter. I became close with Callee as she worked with me at Blockbuster and as a mother to see someone close to you loose someone you love so much broke my heart. But between her and Zac they are strong and with the gospel on their side they know as well as we know that they will be together forever as an eternal family. No one knows why things like this have to happen, but the Lord has a plan for each and everyone of us. Callee later told us her friend Michelle that was killed in a car accident said if she ever had a girl her name would be Lilly, so Callee gave Kamdyn that middle name for her friend Michelle. So we think Callee had that baby for her, now Kamdyn is in heaven with her friend Michelle looking after her. My heart goes out to them and the Carlson and Cloward family. It is always nice to see family pull together in hard times and show what love and support we have for one another. WE love you, Callee, Zac, and Easton.

So we recently just got home from a family vacation from California and to my lead foot I receive a big old fat TICKET! Yes my first ticket in 13 years. Here is the proof!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SewEu2TJkHI/AAAAAAAAAGU/bUTTmJwmJX0/s320/DSC01452.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326637662168780914" />
The funny thing is that just before I got it near Cedar City we were talking on the radio to our friends about how I go fast but have never been caught. And I was driving because Mark had thrown out his back. Plus I was saying that it is kind of a boring drive to get to St. George in some areas and I think that is why I have a lead foot. 2 other cars were ahead of me and we were passing the slow vehicles through fillmore/beaver and coming around a bend they got into a the slow lane and I couldn't get in fast enough but when I saw the cop I knew I was busted. It was so hard for me to not laugh. Not that it was funny or anything, just the fact that if Mark was driving and got a ticket I would've been pissed, but knowing this was my first real ticket I tried really hard not to laugh. My kids really didn't know what to think. I think they were into the movie too much or else I know my boys would have given me crap. They always say, "mom put on your seat belt or you will go to jail." Luckily they never knew what was really going on with mom going 84 in a 75. (Well that's what he wrote on the ticket, but I think I was going a little faster.)

My little girl is 3!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SeQDJwBx8EI/AAAAAAAAAGM/WQbgAmDbS5I/s320/DSC01787.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324384125504843842" />
Happy 3rd Birthday, Zaydree! I can't believe you are already 3. Where has all the time went to? She has been so hilarious in prepping her for her big day. She tells everyone she is 2 or 5 she won't say 3. And she did not want to open her gifts or hit the pinata today until all the others did it first. A few days ago we told her about her birthday, she kept saying no and that she wanted it to be DJ's birthday and that she didn't want no gifts so we all said we would give them away. So I only know what is to come for the summer. But Zaydree has been sooooo cute! She got her bike for Christmas and has already mastered it down with the training wheels and brakes. She thinks she is so big just like her brothers. She wants to be out everyday forever. Mark and I will just go sit out there just to entertain her. Our street is getting busier and the fast traffic doesn't help, but she loves our driveway. She is a walking advertisement for Dora the explorer though, her helmet and shin guards are Dora, her shoes were Dora. So I know come this summer we will be spending many hours out with Zaydree and her bike.

Valentines! Is it really what it is cracked up to be?

So to start off our day or night Me and Mark decided to clean out our disgusting garage and organize a few things around the house. You know he could have just done it to show his love for me on Valentines, but I guess I wanted it done right. Then I know he didn't have to much planned so I handed him a coupon from the shopping show to go get me flowers since they were half off I knew he would appreciate that. Then I went to walmart and kmart to find him something you know for later :) But to my dismay they didn't have anything that I thought would suit him but ended up settling with something, but when I got home I found that the size of the top was a small and the bottoms were a x-large. Go figure, Me waiting until the last minute! Then we decided to go to dinner and a movie. We went to Silver Steak house which I think I have had enough crab for a while, but the meal came with champagne and I told our waitress we didn't want it, to see if we could get it off the cost and she turns to me and says what you don't drink, well you should! I wanted to say a few choice words to her like hey, we can have fun without the booze, or don't worry we have perfect sex without being drunk! So I guess only in Carbon County we find awesome waitresses like that. Then we went to go see the movie Taken, which was a great show. Then to come home to 2 fighting kids that had probably done it in for our babysitter. So in all this I often wonder where is the ROMANCE in Valentines? To me it just seems like another day with some added bonuses! Hope many of you had a wonderful day!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://jillmarkemerson.blogspot.com/2009/02/valentines-is-it-really-what-it-is.html' title='Valentines! I don't know if it is the teacher or what but I think they are coming along just great. DJ was afraid of the water at the beginning of last summer and now he is jumping off the diving board. And Austin is diving off the high dive and swimming on his back the length of the pool. Also Austin is a good little diver and is learning how to breath when his face is under the water when he comes up for air. So watch out Mr.Phelps We have an awesome instructor and I am pretty sure we are going to have many Olympic gold medals to come! There is 18 of us competing for $500, with a monthly prize to the one with the most weight loss for that month. Next week it will be one month and we have 3 or 4 that have already lost 10 pounds so it has been neat to see how well people are doing. And seeing the competitive side come out in many! So me and Mark have taken on a challenge for the both of us to lose 25 pounds or so. So we work on the Wii fit and me and the girls at the daycare have been doing "Walk away the pounds" with weights and we walk now 5 miles a day, so hoping for some improvement! So Zaydree being the cutie that she is wants to always be where mom and dad is so almost every night she makes sure to get her workout in with us. We start training them young you know! Good luck to all those "LOSERS" who are yearning for the burning!

Jeff Dunham, what a great ventriloquist!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SX1IPVaszVI/AAAAAAAAAFM/wqhi568P8Ew/s320/tn%5B3%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295468165141941586" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SX1IPeVZFEI/AAAAAAAAAFE/DH6cCIPoko8/s320/tn%5B2%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295468167535596610" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SX1IPbSLo2I/AAAAAAAAAE8/rwgir0eYYHc/s320/tn%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295468166716826466" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SX1IPRtJ5_I/AAAAAAAAAE0/K6qJQeB9-uk/s320/tn4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295468164145604594" />
What a fun time we had at Jeff Dunham! Brandi and Shawn got us tickets for Christmas to his show at the Energy Solution. And all 4 of us had a great time. If you have never seen his show on dvd or in person he is a ventriloquist and he has Walter the old guy (makes me never want to become old) but makes fun of the the places he visits and is mean to everyone! The he has Ocmid (don't remember how to spell it) but he is a skeleton and wants to kill everything, He phrase is "I'll Keel you".
Then he has peanut the purple guy and he is hilarious, many of times I thought I was going to pee my pants (glad that I didn't) but he comes up with some goooood stuff. Then there is jalapeno on a stick and he is always the butt of jokes. So thanks for a great time Brandi and Shawn, glad we got to see him in person. He did have 1/2 new stuff and 1/2 old stuff from his dvd's so I have some of them if you ever want a good laugh.

I never want to become OLD!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SXIpypIwFpI/AAAAAAAAAEs/C6eZkHHocc4/s320/grandma1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292338462126511762" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 113px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SXIpypboJII/AAAAAAAAAEk/kClCgJkhFNU/s320/grandma.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292338462205682818" />
So Last weekend my family went to go help out my 85 year old grandma clean her house and kitchen and bathroom and dust. We knew it needed to be done really bad!!! I took on the bathroom and the fridge. Never did I know that I would loose my breakfast in the project! I don't even know when her fridge had been cleaned out last, she had chicken in the freezer since 98', celery in the fridge that was sooooo slimy and the thing that got me was some black slimy gross stuff in the fridge that just stunk! I actually threw up and Mark had to take over. I recommend helping grandma's out.
We filled up a whole garbage full of old and out dated food. If you look at these pics the Mayo is just liquid, the Ketchup was pitch black, the gram crackers package was way out dated and who knows about the rest. I feel bad because we kept making not so nice comments, but I think it would have been really hard to live in the depression, They save everything. Even things that she didn't use she honestly thought someone else could use. But the sad thing was, was that she was really serious. So just remember to help out the elderly especially those close to you!

Happy New Year! Goodbye 08'

Well, 08' came and went quite quickly! We celebrated New years Eve at the church with some good friends and our families. We had PS2, Wii, Rock band, Basketball, Phase 10, scum, and Dance Dance Revolution going on. It was a blast! (sorry for all you losers that couldn't make it) We did this last year and had a great time so we thought we would try it again. We all bring treats to share so knowing that the next day or 2 all of us would be on a crash diet for the 09' year.
I thought I would do a count down to some of our highlighted events that went on in the year of 08'.
10-We went to Monster Truck for the 1st time. (Wouldn't recommend it)

9-Zaydree turned the terrible 2's.

8-Traveled to Montana twice this year for summer and Christmas. (Long 13 hours)

7-Mark and I celebrated our 11th anniversary. (Went to Hockey game & anniversary inn)

6-Opened up a Daycare Center with my mom, we watch 52 kids!

5-Released from Primary chorister and put in as Young Women's 2nd Counselor

4-Went on Many fun vacations this summer to Lake Powell, Bear Lake, Lagoon with some fun friends!

3-Whale watched and enjoyed a family vacation to Oregon for Potts' family reunion.

2-We adopted our 3rd child in April Dylan (DJ)

1-Jill turned 30, I am getting old and my body can really tell! (NOT) We celebrated the first time because we decided to head to Montana for the holidays and visit with Mark's family so we didn't want to haul the big stuff. Austin got a PSP with some games, Heelee's, clothes, Lego's and Star wars books. DJ got a Diego train, Diego play sets, clothes and tractors. Zaydree got a bike and helmet, makeup (which she loves),strollers and highchairs for her dolls and dress up clothes. So I think they were spoiled!
In Montana we had a good time but the weather was quite cold. The weather was quite bad in Idaho but we broke the drive up in 2 days which made it nice for the kids. Plus we got a new vehicle (go figure) which made the trip a lot easier for the kids. We went sledding with our cousins, played games, had sleepovers, Holiday dinners and some good relaxing in while we were up there. The kids sure love seeing their cousins, aunt and uncle, grandma and grandpa. They are super sad every time we have to leave. But I know they are surely missed also in return.
I hope all of you had a fun and enjoyable Holiday Season this year!

My 2 cuties!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SUc0BfTM1lI/AAAAAAAAAD0/xex1tiLZhiY/s320/DSC01329.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280246288301741650" />
Zaydree is getting way too big! She has started the cutest little thing. She never use to play in her room or with any of her toys and now she comes up to Mark or I and says "Come play in my room and sit down." Who could tell this cute little face no. She usually loves us to read a puppy book or play cash register or play babies by dressing them up. But I really can't believe just like that, that she love to play with her toys. So I try and implement that in my own family. Just to ask them how their day went by saying" What was favorite thing you did at school", "What did you eat for lunch" (Which this question they seem to always know the most of), "What was the saddest thing that happened at school" So I am informed on everything even if it is only coming out of my kids mouth it is still conversation.
So the other night at the dinner table I was just being myself and I said: Let's eat and be marry!
DJ: I don't want to get married.
Austin: You have to when you get big.
Mom: You should after a mission and college.
Austin: Yeah then we can kiss them when we are married.
Mom: Yeah I would wait until then that sounds like a good idea.
It is just so cute and funny how they catch up on the littlest things.
Now the biggest thing around our house is: Mom and Dad you have to be nice because Jesus says so. They think by saying that, it will work when they are in trouble. I think it is cute but I am too mean. So it does show they do learn in church. Even if it is for that reason.

Happy Halloween!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SQvgOHTCC7I/AAAAAAAAADs/CI-WVfDpRLo/s320/DSC01313.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263547122594220978" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SQvgNmCHABI/AAAAAAAAADk/fSNema4a8zQ/s320/DSC01297.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263547113664872466" />
As you can see we went with the Star Wars theme. WE had a blast doing it! Austin was Darth Vader, DJ was a Jedi, Zaydree was Yoda, Jill Princess Leia and Mark had to work so we didn't buy him a costume, but I joked around saying he was Chewy if he would just take his shirt off. He knows I was just kidding.
It has been a busy week. Tuesday our friends had a kid party with a fun little spook alley in the garage with a lot of goodies and hot chocolate and a lot of adult socializing by the fire, We had a church party on Wednesday night with carving pumpkin contest and a chili cookout, Thursday was our friends party and I was in charge of games so I was a little stressed out but I had a great time doing it and the party was a blast! We have the best friends in the whole world! Friday we had a parade at the daycare with a carnival, Austin had a parade at his school along with a carnival, and DJ had a party. So trying to help everyone out and make sure I was to all events plus go trick or treating tonight it has been a long week. I think I am just going to relax and have a peaceful weekend. I don't know how many of you do it with more than 3 kids and working full time because with 3 I think it is a butt kicker some days! Well I hope all of you had a wonderful Halloween this year. I thought we would have had more trick or treaters than we did but I won't complain also it was a miracle we didn't have any after 9:00 pm I thought for a Friday we would have late ones but we didn't and it was nice!

Poor DJ!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SQHskSomQuI/AAAAAAAAADc/0kX-4q-PIcQ/s320/DSC01296.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260745947967013602" />
Poor DJ had to go get stitches in his chin this week. Mark had the day off so I made him take him to the E.R. He was being a little boy and pushing a box to go like a car on the ground and hit a divot on the cement and sliced his chin opened. He had to get 4 stitches. My mom thought it wasn't that bad, but when I looked at it and I could see flesh and meat up there I told her I think he needs stitches. But he was so brave Mark said. Now at the E.R they give numbing cream before they have to give the shot and they really don't feel nothing. SO I was thankful he was so tough and brave. The other sad thing was about 2 weeks ago I thought he broke his nose jumping off a tower at our house. It bleed for awhile and bruised fast, but luckily it wasn't broken or people at the E.R or everyone around us probably thinks we really beat our child. But I guess BOYS will be BOYS!

Watch out David Beckham!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SP1h0jsVvYI/AAAAAAAAADE/lc7kwGv9LEs/s320/DSC01256.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259467495400914306" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SP1h06YdHeI/AAAAAAAAADM/H8tGYEpvEI8/s320/DSC01244.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259467501491527138" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SP1h1ZNsTUI/AAAAAAAAADU/md5-tzW-nqQ/s320/DSC01245.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259467509767884098" />
So tonight was our last night of soccer and for some reason every year or season I get talked into coaching (not that I don't mind, it's the fact that I have a daughter that isn't that helpful.) But it is soooooo much fun to see your kids progress through the years as they start out in sports. Mark and I are quite competitive when it comes to sports and we try not to push it to much on our kids, I think we explain that sport to our kids and let it go from there. If they enjoy it we help them along and try to help them excel in that sport. But not to brag to much I honestly can't believe how far our little Austin who is 6 has excelled! Every game he is after the ball and tries to get as many goals as possible. The first game he just moped around and I told him I would give him a dollar if he made a goal and he really went after it and scored. So the rest of games he scored an average of 4-5 goals a game and kept asking for dollars, but I told him it was for the first game only but made him feel special about every game he played. Grandma & pa were there and Mark and one goal tonight was awesome, it was from half court on a soccer field over all the kids heads and past the goalie. Yes these kids are only 4-6 years old but everyone cheered and I was so proud of what he has accomplished this season. I will show a pic of him hanging on my leg when he was 4 and a pic from now. Also this was DJ's first year playing and he did a good job, he had to make sure after every time he kicked the ball that I gave him a high five he was excited. It will be fun to see how he will progress through the years also! So David Beckham if you read this and want to personally come to my house and give my 6 year old pointers feel free and come over any time I will be home!

Happy 32nd Birthday Mark!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SPLNWCEALAI/AAAAAAAAACs/JPuzIu9f0FQ/s320/DSC01237.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256489493489265666" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SPLNWQn9VWI/AAAAAAAAAC0/D6Ig37SscNo/s320/DSC01241.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256489497398170978" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SPLNWph_f9I/AAAAAAAAAC8/M_-OGTmKByo/s320/DSC01240.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256489504084033490" />
Happy 32nd Birthday To Mark. We had an enjoyable weekend. We ended up going down to St. George for the weekend to see Les Miserable.(I'm not sure if that is what he wanted to do but we did it anyway.) I quite enjoyed the show soooo very much. It was a wonderful love story. Plus we had Zaydree and she was a handful for a little while but then Mark was able to watch more of it, he just thought it was long, but the whole 3 hours I was entertained. Then we went shopping the next day, went to dinner at The Outback Steakhouse and caught the movie Eagle Eye which was good. I had to make sure we through some manly stuff in there for his special day. Then we ended up visiting some friends; The Threets and The Larson's which we hadn't seen in awhile so it was very nice to catch up and to be very entertained what cuties both of you have! Then on Sunday me and my mom made him a wonderful dinner with pulled BBQ pork, twice baked potatoes and rolls with a pumpkin cake. It was all so very delicious. Then he opened his gifts. He got updated software for his GPS from me and the kids, archery movie and hat and valve from his parents, money from my parents, money from Jacqie and Elam, PF Chang's gift card from Leonard's, Pocket tool key chain set from His sister Heidi and family. He also wants to go on a hunt in Montana next year so I told him he has to put his money away to save for the trip, But that is really what he wants so I am for it. It had been 4-5 years ago since we had all of us in the picture. Jacqie wasn't married so it added her husband Elam, Jessica was just barely married so she had no kids in the picture and now she has 2 Beau and Hunter, Jeni had a old boyfriend in the pic and Sharla was 2, And I had Austin and a foster baby Jaycee in the old pic and now we have Dylan and Zaydree So it was quite hectic. But I think we may have found 1-2 good ones throughout all of the pictures that were taken. And Marie Bowles at Bryners Photography was so patient with all of us she did a great job. I am just glad that it will be another 4 years for another one. Hopefully you enjoy them.

Happy 80th Birthday Great Grandma Emerson!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SOWWc3XrWVI/AAAAAAAAACU/OZ4uNI8Ptqs/s320/bear+lake,montana,oregon+2008+095.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252769963041315154" />
I just wanted to shout out to Great Grandma Emerson "Happy 80th Birthday"! She is Marks grandma that lives in Bozeman, Montana and we really don't get to see her a lot. But when we do the kids, especially Austin loves being around her! The other 2 kids have only met her twice so they are still getting to know her. But what an accomplishment on turning 80. I hope I am a lot like her, she still goes strong with a job, takes care of most of the things around her home by herself, still driving and being a great grandmother! Tonight I asked her how it was to be 80 and she said what are you talking about I still feel like I am in my 20's! So I thought that was cute. I just wish we would have been able to do something for her because I am all about PARTIES! But I know she knows we all love and support her in the many ways that we know how! We Love you Great Grandma Jean Emerson!

My 30th Birthday Party!

Well today was the big day for me! I didn't quite know what to expect, I hit the big 3 0! But my husband and family were amazing! My husband threw me a party that I didn't know about. He invited my friends and we headed to Provo for the day. He surprised me by taking us to a ice arena by Seven Peaks, because he knows I love to ice skate. He bought hockey sticks for all of us to play hockey there but we weren't allowed to play so we will have to save them for this winter out at the fairgrounds.
Then he surprised me with a wonderful birthday gift, He bought me a mother's ring with all the kids' birth stones in it. He picked it out himself. I was very impressed! Then we headed to one of my favorite restaurants P F Changs and had a very enjoyable time! I have the most supported family and friends in the whole world, I am quite lucky to have them in my life! (Or they are just so lucky to have me in their life, I haven't figured it out yet.) Then Sunday, we had our Primary Program and I promised all the kids if they sang well I would have cupcakes and they did AWESOME! But instead I had Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I was very proud of all of them! So it started off as a great birthday. Then my dad and sister cooked an wonderful meal while my mom was away. I think my dad is a chef on the side, but never tells my mom because she is an amazing cook also. And had family over for the dinner and we opened gifts and had dessert which Jeni and Brandi made. Yum, Brownies and Blueberry Cheesecake my two favorites! SO all in all I guess 30 isn't so bad, I just need to loose 15 more pounds and I guess it won't be so depressing! Thank you to all my family and friends for a wonderful B-day!
p.s Hey Kelly, Shauntel and Debra, Thank you soooooooo much for the Spotted Dick Pudding it sure will come in handy for my 72 hour pack! Love ya guys!

My mom is mean!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SNl1tjaH4dI/AAAAAAAAACM/u9mwT9GhLGw/s320/scan0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249356266136396242" />
So I know looking at this picture it looks like my kids have the meanist mom ever!! But it isn't how it really looks. I just love this picture, DJ got put in time out go figure, we were at a wedding reception and he was acting up so I put him in a timeout and ran something to my mom. When I came back out Zaydree was sitting by him pouting like DJ and I needed a picture so Austin thought he needed in the picture also. So really this picture is a reinactment of what happened but I thought it was hilarious! I thought I would share because I know many of you witness the same thing every once in awhile!

My Parents move in!!!!

So I know what many of you are thinking just by reading my title "My Parents move in" but it isn't that bad. My parents sold the home that I grew up in 3-4 years ago and bought a old home on Carbon Ave. and remodeled it with the intention of selling this 1919 home. Lets just remember how homes have been selling the last 9 months. Not so great. But last month this cute young couple moved to Price and loves old homes. My mom is really talented so she can decorate and turn old things new again. So when they finally got an offer on their home after being on the market for 8 months I think I was more excited than they were! I really encouraged them to sell the home that I grew up in to build a brand new home that they could retire in. They bought in Liberty Estates 3 years ago and it has bloomed so much already. My parents have their plans and are in the process so I only have another year then we will be tenant free. But my kids are loving it! We get more home cooked meals than before, My kitchen is more clean, and a lot of organizing has been done. So really I encourage more of you to witness what my family has witnessed with your family living right with you! It is like they have their own apartment with our basement.

I'm So excited PRISON BREAK is on!

I Don't know if many of you are fans like I am for Prison Break, But it is the BEST show ever!!! I am feeling immense pressure to make this an unforgettable post which usually means it will be a long rambling bunch of mumbo jumbo that will only be funny to me and the manager of the Park City Dress Barn.)

After a fun filled weekend in Park City, the women have returned to their nests. I am betting that we all came home to disastrous homes and dirty kids, but our hopes were high that we would feel well rested, patient and sexually inclined. Let me just say that after about 10 minutes after I walked in the door I was screaming at my hubby & kids to give me some space.

Let's recap. We loaded up the prison van on Thursday afternoon and headed to Provo to pick up some stragglers. We ate our first all meat meal of the weekend at Rodizio's and then headed to Park City. We arrived at the Silver King later that night and settled in for a hilariously funny movie, "What happens in Vegas." (I am not being sarcastic. Well, maybe about the hilariously funny part.) Jill tried to get some leg wrestling going, but it was kind of perverted so it didn't last long.
I was not too impressed with the hotel, but I guess a blood smear in the kitchen is only a big deal if you are planning on cooking, which we weren't.

We got up bright and early and headed to the main attraction, SWISS DAYS in Midway. It was surprisingly Swiss. Their were all sorts of booths, like the Swiss Taco Booth, the Swiss Chicken Sandwich booth, etc. I found out later that the taco's were Navajo's and the sandwiches were Californian, but I guess when you put one of those little Swiss Flags on a toothpick and insert it into something, it is officially theirs. Don't mess with the Swiss.

There were some cute things there, but nothing I couldn't find a t Tai-Pan. It was like mass hysteria. We arrived at 7:30 am to find hoards of women running around trying to find the "next great thing." I am thinking about charging some of the vendors next year to get their items moving. I will carry an item, let's say for instance a big gnarly stick with a witch hat on top, and I will have two or three women try to knock me over and steal it. Before you know it, those broomsticks will be going like hot-cakes. We lasted about three hours and headed to the Tanger Outlets in Park City.

We shopped and ate, then shopped and ate. That is literally all I can say.

We headed back to the hotel and then over to the zip line, coaster and Alpine slide. I have officially overcome my fear of heights thanks to the gentle prodding and pointing and laughing of the ladies. I also think there should be rules about employees making fun of customers. Debra may have been scarred for life after trying to find a fake brake on the zip line.

Debra left for the Sheepdog show, which I still think is a made up excuse to get some love time in with Barry, which only left Brandi, Jill, Karra, Melissa, Randi and myself to fend for ourselves. I know I am sometimes a loser, but I was very tired and did not quite make it through the Yahtzee extravaganza. It sounded fun, but I was tired from all the eating.

We got up the next morning and dropped Melissa off in Provo and headed for the spa. I had a lovely facial from Virginia and the day ended well.

I would just like to reiterate that it was an amazing weekend and I am so glad I got to know the ladies a little bit better. Even Jill.
Posted by kellyrass at 7:24 PM
4 comments:
Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom)

Bow Hunting in the Boulder Mountains.

We went down to the Boulder Mountains on Thurs. to get ready for the opening of the Deer Hunt which was on Aug. 16th. We had an enjoyable time with my parents, Sharla, Jacqie and Elam. We decided to fish one of those days. We hiked 3 miles in to Deer Creek Lake and Green Lake and hiked 3 out. I have not hiked that much in a long while. But they are gorgeous lakes. Austin and DJ hiked in with us, they were good troopers. I of course wore the wrong shoes so my feet killed, but it was worth it and I was the only one to catch a fish so I out skunked everyone. At Green Lake it is a volcano type lake and the water is so clear you can see the fish swimming everywhere. But they are hard to catch, some weigh 5-8 pounds. BUt of course not mine. But it was good tastin'.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SKzFbmwmohI/AAAAAAAAABM/Y-qSRShUDPE/s320/boulder,mt+deer+hunt+2008+011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5236777544776589842" />
On Saturday started the big hunt. My dad hit a 4 point and tracked it for hours but could not find it. So they came back to camp to get help to find it. So then again I hiked 2 more miles up and down hillsides so by this time I was really hoping I have lost 10 pounds but when I got home to my dismay I didn't lose any. So opening day no one got anything but we did see quite a few bucks, doe's and fawns.
Sunday Mark was successful with a cute little 3 point. He said it didn't take long to track it. He hit it in a good spot like always! He was excited and so was I so that he didn't have to go hunting every weekend now until it is done.
We love the Boulder Mountains, It is so pretty up there and peaceful we try and go every year. Congrats Mark!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tVvpM28OXTY/SKzJFBse6NI/AAAAAAAAABc/RNnVNH8zCpY/s320/boulder,mt+deer+hunt+2008+021.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5236781554916583634" />

School has started!! His teacher is Mrs. Cox. He was so excited today that I made him breakfast and I went to go get ready to take him to school that I when I was done, I came down stairs to find him no where, I couldn't see his back pack and the front door was unlocked so I looked outside to see where he was. He walked up to the new bus stop without brushing his teeth or getting his hair combed. SO I know how excited he really was to head to school. He was so cute, it is quite funny in our case, how much they mature each year you just never know if they will ever grow up a little. Not that I want him to grow up to big, but just a little would help.
He has many friends in his class like: Zac, Carter, Kendra, Emily, Esp, James, and Brayden O. SO I know he will quite enjoy school if he can stay out of trouble and listen to the teacher!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://jillmarkemerson.blogspot.com/2008/08/school-has-started-yippy.html' title='School has started!! What a fun Birthday we had. We ended up sleeping over at our Friends The Hursts in Stansbury Park after we got off the plane from Oregon so we could wake up and go to Lagoon.
Everyone had a good time. I got to ride all the rides I wanted plus the kids rode all the rides they could and we only spent about 5 hours there. It is so fun to see the kids enjoy the rides. DJ would always say after each ride " Mom, that was soooo fun lets do it again." Zaydree would say "tickle mommy tickle." She would go on all the rides her brothers did. And Austin didn't know what to think of the scary rides I went on, he would say "I'm not riding that mom, you are crazy." He must take after Mark because he just watches the kids while I go on all the fun rides, He really don't care for heights or rides. But Mark got his fix after we went to Cabela's so he could buy his Archery stuff for the hunt next weekend.
We are so thankful for DJ and the example he is to us. He is such a fun loving boy and so easy going. Today we had cake and ice cream at my mom's for him and he opened his gifts. He got some Diego toys from us and school clothes and shoes, Race car set from Jacqie and Elam, School clothes from Grandma & pa Tolley, and money from Grandma & pa Emerson, and a Texas football and shirt from the Guest's. We sure had a good time. Now he says that he is 4 years old he wants his training wheels off his bike, so that is something we need to work on here shortly. Take care.

Pictures of Oregon

Vacation in Oregon!

Boy am I exhausted!! I never thought vacation or in my case vacationsssss would be so exhausting. I thought they were for relaxing, great nights sleep, shopping, pure enjoyment with friends or family. But not so much in our case, I have been away from my nice and wonderful bed wayyyyyyy to long. So I am excited to sleep in my bed tonight and have one night that Zaydree will sleep through the whole night in her bed. But I shouldn't complain because it was an amazing time in Oregon. Not everyday do you get to see whales right out your condo window within 50-75 yards. (I have many witnesses to that to) We had our Potts family 4 hr reunion up in Oregon. And yes I really mean only 4 hrs. It consisted of us going to the Oregon Aquarium in Newpor and having a dinner after words and walking on the Beach and taking Pictures. But it was worth it to see the many things that we saw up there.
I havn't been there since I was little and Mark use to always go up there with his grandparents for summer vacations so we knew our kids and us would enjoy it.
We went to the Portland Zoo the 2nd day we got there and It was 10 times better than our SLC zoo, it has tons of shade and a whole lot more animals and it is not just focused on the while alligator or elephants. But driving in Portland isn't that easy also, Mark is a great navigator and when he gets lost or turned around in many directions it doesn't make it the easiest of our travels. Then the next day we went to the waterfalls and the Gorge and it was gorgeous but it was a rainy day, so we headed down to Depoe Bay where our condo and reunion was.
Saturday was the big reunion day and I told you what happened there.
Sunday we went to the light house on a self guided tour, shopped down town shops and spent to much money, and had the Potts family over for family night to watch the whales and go swimming. Yes I said swimming, not in the ocean which was way to cold but the swimming pool in the condo and that wasn't the first or last time of our swimming it went on for 10 days straight. I think kids don't really care for vacation they just want to swim 10 times a day all day long, at least mine do.
Monday we went to the Hatfield museum with many fish that was hands on and we had a good time there, Zaydree just loves fish so I think this vacation was just for her.
Tuesday my Parents flew out so it was just us so we went to the underseas museum, Wax works and Ripleys believe it or not. And let me tell you a funny story at Ripley's we have all our kids and the girl that was checking us out was hitting on Mark which I thought was funny but, then turns to him and says those 2 boys look just like their Dad.(Austin and DJ) Is the girl yours too? Mark just said yes and didn't want to ruin it for her on the boys and make her feel even stupider for the comment she made and the flirting she was doing. Put now everywhere I go people always just assume Zaydree is the adopted one and not the boys so I fill everyone in and let them know all of my children are adopted so no one is left out they are all special to us.
Wednesday we walked many Beaches looking for sand dollars, sea shells and anything else we could find. Mark found a sand dollar that had only a tiny part broken from it so that was cool, I found so star fish and a bigger crab that wandered up to shore and we took pics, Austin found some cool sea shells that we kept.
Thursday we went into Lincoln city and went shopping and the Tangent Outlets like the ones in Park city and got some cute clothes and shoes for all of us and ate at many wonderful seafood joints. Being on the coast and loving seafood are two added bonuses because their clam chowders, crab legs, halibut, salmon, shrimp were to die for.
Friday we flew out but before that we made sure to have a stop at Chuck E. Cheeses for the kids and for DJ's birthday.
Word of advice when flying especially with a 2 year old always fly coach and not first class because when you do you get many unfriendly people that want to kill you or kidnap your child, lesson learned always use sky miles for coach and not first class.

....Years ago!

20 years ago.... I was in the 3rd grade at Creekview Elem., chasing all the boys out on the play ground playing either soccer or basketball with them. They all thought that I was pretty awesome since a girl could play all those sports. I just started piano lessons but not so big in to that.

10 years ago.... I just barely got married so I was experiencing life with a partner for the first time and let me tell you that it was a rocky road for the first year or so. I was working at Wal-mart as a Customer service Manager and Mark was at ECI starting his apprentiship. I also was still trying to hang out with my friends as much as possible.

5 years ago.... I was working at Blockbuster as the Manager, We had no kids yet we were doing tons of fertility medicine and no luck so we decided to start foster care and had 2 sibilings and Austin who we later adopted.

1 year ago.... Having fun in the sun, We went to Lake Powell, Eden, Lagoon and we celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Hawaii. It was a blast, so beautiful and amazing can't wait to go back! Zaydree was 1 year old and we just barely gotten DJ in foster care, which we later adoped. And Austin started Kindergarten at Creekview.

So far this year.... We Watched Zaydree turn 2, Austin turn 6, DJ will be 4. We have went to Lake Powell, spent 10 days in Montana and had a great time, went to Bear Lake for 5 days with great friends, and We are headed to Oregon for a family vacation in 2 days for 10 days in a condo with my family. We sure love to vacation and we do it quite frequently!

Yesterday.... I packed for Oregon and cleaned out my car.

Tomorrow.... I will play catch up at the Daycare Center before we leave.

Feel free and copy if you would like I copied it from Ali, Thanks girl!!

Pictures of Bear Lake

Bear Lake was a blast!

We just returned from a week vacation in Bear Lake. The water is always so clear and beautiful. We went with 3 other couples, Leonards, Hillams, and the Nelson's. You would think people would be sick of each other rooming together, but not us. We can talk about the funniest or grossist things ever and we all still laugh! It is great times. The beach is so kid friendly that it goes out about 50-60 yards and it is still only at the kids' knees.
That Lake is mainly for tubing, not water skiing or knee boarding because of the waves. But it is always fun to throw the men off the water weiney. Especially Steve sorry! The men had a good time at the golf course while us women tended to the children, and we were just being lazy.
The lake called for some awesome sand castles, illegal fireworks from Evanston, Wy., Riding on the weiney and tubes, snorkeling with Brandi's snokel gear, Playing football and fast pitch softball with Dave and Melissa, Millions of families stretched along the beach on the 24th of July, literally families trying to sit on our laps or play on our boats or just play with our sand toys!
The Firework display that was put on by Mark was amazing!!!
